Reaching depths of nearly a mile in the center, this pristine region is also visited by whale sharks, and migratory humpback whales that visit from both the northern and southern hemispheres. This was reportedly one of Jacques Cousteau’s favorite place in the world to explore! Pursue the roosterfish, snapper and the multitude of other species that can be found cruising the volcanic shoreline in the gulf. Other inshore species include African pompano, Bluefin trevally and grouper. Make sure to check the daily catch boards to see where the action is! Most of our captains grew up in the area and will have a good idea of which areas have been the best chances of being productive on any given day.
